ACTIVATE®

Poultry producers use ACTIVATE® WD Max as a key tool to sanitize the drinking water, in intestinal pathogen reduction programs or to help animals recover from other stressful situations such as heat, feed withdrawals and transportation.

Contamination of the drinking water by pathogens contributes to a decreased gut health which is essential to overall animal health and well-being. Acidification of the drinking water with ACTIVATE WD Max is an effective way of

  • sanitizing the drinking water
  • enhancing the colonization of beneficial species (lactobacilli) in the lower gut to support a stable, healthy intestinal microflora balance.
  • reducing opportunities for colonization in digestive tract of animals by pathogenic species like Salmonella and E. coli.
  • helping to reduce carcass contamination f.e. by Campylobacter spp. during processing at the slaughterhouse.

ACTIVATE® WD Max logo

ACTIVATE® WD Max nutritional feed acid is a blend of gut environmental modifiers, including a high methionine activity. Selected liquid inorganic and organic acids, combined with a highly available source of methionine, HMTBa, have been proven to produce a strong, anti-microbial effect in water. ACTIVATE WD Max also effectively promotes the establishment of a desirable and more balanced intestinal flora which aids in digestion, providing more nutrients from the feed for an enhanced performance.
