If it's science you're seeking...
The International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF) is also returning to IPPE. Held January 23-24, this opportunity for scientific discussions and discovery is sponsored by the Southern Poultry Science Society, the Southern Conference on Avian Diseases, and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. The forum presents information on industry topics such as environmental management, nutrition, physiology, pathology, processing and products, and avian diseases.
Novus Senior Structure and Function Manager Dr. Juxing Chen will share new research during the event on these topics:
- Maternal supplementation of trace mineral minerals on breeder production and progeny growth and health
- Maternal supplementation of different levels of bis-chelated trace minerals on reproductive performance of broiler breeder and growth performance of progeny subjected to coccidia challenge
Research on epigenetics, sometimes referred to as maternal feeding or maternal nutrition, shows how nutrients in the diet of hens can improve egg quality as well as alert genes in the progeny, ultimately improving immunity and overall performance. Dr. Chen will discuss solutions optimize fertility, eggshell strength, and egg production based on commercial trials.
Dr. Chen's presentations will begin at 9:30 a.m. EST on January 24 in room B315. Click the button below for more information.
